This is a 6x6 mixed media collage. I don't know where this is going. I tried a stencil but didn't really like it. I think this one will sit awhile until I can think of something - it needs words...and more.

Mixed Media Collage Painted Canvas - Be Brave
This is a 12x16 canvas I completed awhile ago - so many layers. I just love butterflies! Be Brave refers to me trying new techniques and sharing my art.

Sharing a Photo of My Artwork
This is the very first time that I am sharing my artwork on this blog! This piece is a 6 x12 inch mixed media canvas that I made for a friend. I have to tell you that it takes a whole lot of courage for me to give away my art - but this person is so very special that I felt I had to do something personal. She always encouraged me, so I knew she would appreciate the gesture - and she did! :0)
It says: Our passion makes us who we are. Who we are is enough.
This blogging is all so new to me. Now, I need to work on my picture taking skills! I can't retake the pic cause I gave the canvas away! Lesson learned... make sure that the photos are good before the art piece leaves my house. The canvas was laying on the brown paper that I had on my work table and here it looks orange! Oh, and I guess I need to learn about editing the photos, too. All in good time! But not now - this is enough for now. yay me - I did it!!!

Art Retreat Hangover
Yesterday, I arrived back from the Create Art Retreat in New Jersey. I had so much fun and didn't want it to end. It's awesome to meet the artists that I admire in person, and to learn new techniques from them. My head is spinning with new ideas and I can't wait to try them. I feel so inspired and sooo tired.
